Up Dates from the Secretary Simon Enticknap

September 17th, 2021

Our next club night will be Wednesday 13th October at The Bell Inn Pub Main Road, Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford, Essex CM3 8RF, usual start time of 20.00. We have something a little more unusual to tempt you out this month. Apart from the usual opportunity to ride, talk and look at your and others pride and joy, we have managed to coax Ben Wright of Wickford Motor Services to come along and share some of his experiences when MOT’ing Bikes and Cars. Ben has tested most of the Motorcycles in the Wickford area including a number of our members classics and this promises to be a very interesting and interactive session. I am sure that he will be happy to take any questions around the test process that you may have.

  • Early notice that November club night John and Ann Beckinsale will be hosting their very popular annual quiz night so a great opportunity to impress all your friends and colleagues with your expert general knowledge about life, the universe and everything – oh and there’s a round all about Bikes too!

Next years runs

I sent round a copy of the ride list for next year’s runs looking for volunteers, and a couple of people have already put their names forward. Attached is the most up to date copy – take a look and think about whether you might be able to lead a run for the section. If you want to chat it through first just have a word with me or one of the other committee members at the next club night. The dates are only indicative so don’t worry if you can’t do that date but could maybe do something at another time/day – just let me know.

  • That’s all from me for this month – it’s really good to start to see all the new activities slowly getting back to normal.

Keep safe
