THE BLUEBELL WEEKEND 2017
FRIDAY 21st APRIL - SUNDAY 23rd APRIL INCLUSIVE
MUSEUM OF POWER, LANGFORD, ESSEX
The Essex Section of the VMCC welcome you to the Essex Bluebell Weekend. The whole event will be based at the Museum of Power,
Hatfield Road, Langford, near Maldon, Essex. CM9 6QA.
The entrance to the site is signposted from the B1019,Hatfield Peverel to Maldon Road.
Participants will be able to camp overnight or visit on any of the days. The fee per unit for camping will be £8 per night (which includes
free entry to the Museum of Power on presentation of your VMCC Membership Card) Camping Fees will be collected at the event.
The camping field has a toilet block with separate toilets and washing facilities for Ladies and Gentlemen and a chemical disposal unit.
There are also other Ladies and Gents Toilets elsewhere on the Museum Site including a Disabled Users Toilet. There are no electric hook-up, showers or laundry facilities on the site.
The Museum has a Tea Room where hot and cold food is available

The event will commence at 10.00am on Friday, but those wishing to camp from Thursday are welcome to do so. Alternatively Bed and
Breakfast is available nearby from £30 per night at the Mill House Hotel, Tel: 01621 841518.
If you wish to camp, would like to order Fish and Chips for Friday Evening or join us for the Saturday Evening Meal at the Steam Pump Tearoom, on the site, please complete the attached form.
Petrol may be available on each of the routes comprising this Event, however, there is a Tesco Filling Station in Maldon within 1.5 miles
of the Start which will be open. Drivers are advised to ensure that they start each Run with sufficient fuel to complete the route.

SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEKEND
Thursday 20th April - Campsite Opens
Friday 21st April - Social Run of approx. 80 miles organised by Paul Fletcher and Pauline Hodkinson around the lanes of Essex with coffee and lunch stops. Choice of Route Card or 'End Over End'. This Run will start at 10.00am
Friday Evening - Fish and Chips will be brought on to the Site at approx. 6.30pm. Please pre-book using the attached Form.
Saturday 22nd April - Social Run of approx. 80 miles organised by Paul Fletcher and Pauline Hodkinson around the lanes of Essex with coffee and lunch stops. Choice of Route Card or 'End Over End'. This Run will start at 10.00am
Saturday Evening - An Evening Meal has been arranged at the Steam Pump Tearoom at the Museum 7pm for 7.30pm. A £5 deposit per person is required, with the balance payable on the evening. Please pre-book using the attached Booking Form.
Sunday 23rd April - A Social Run of approx.70 miles organised by Gill Scatcherd around the lanes of north Essex with stops for coffee and lunch. Choice of Route Card or 'End Over End’.
This Run will start at 10.00am.
Monday 24th April - Campsite closes
