Essex Section Notes June 2017

April’s Club night was a talk by the Museum of Power. This museum is located in a disused water company pumping station with steam driven water pumps. It has had support from the Ford Motor company and holds many exhibits of engines from them. The Museum of Power is also the location of the base for our Bluebell run weekend. This was organised by Paul Fletcher and Pauline Hodkinson and provided 3 days of runs throughout Essex. I attended the run on the Saturday on the old Humber but had to retire about half way round due to a severe fuel leakage. On attempting to check how much fuel was left I couldn’t open the fuel cap so decided to return to base. The fuel leakage was quickly fixed but I lost out on the rest of what was a very enjoyable run. Thanks to Pauline and Paul for arranging.
