End of year update from Secretary

Good evening all
The last club night of the sections 50th anniversary year saw 28 members tuck into a great buffet, courtesy of Sue the landlady of the Bell along with a some great raffle prizes ( thanks to those members who brought along a prize to entry in the raffle ) Thanks to our president Ray for organizing and running the raffle. A great social evening.

I am pleased to announce the committee have chosen the following section members who are to receive the following awards:

Award for the lady rider who has participated in the most section runs during 2019 goes to Lesley Willmore.

Award for the section member who the committee considers to have made an outstanding contribution to the Essex section in 2019, goes to Lesley Willmore.

Award for the male rider who has participated in the most section runs during 2019 goes to Dave Overy ( a very close choice this year with quite a few members in contention )

Bodge it Trophy awarded for his dedication and persistence in maintaining and constant repairing plus using his veteran motorcycles goes to Alan Williams.

The committee has also chosen to award Alan Williams a special award for his dedication and determination in entering the 2019 London to Brighton Veteran run despite many setbacks and finishing the run.

The committee is also to present a special award to Jim Prior for the resilience shown against adversity he has experienced during some of the section runs this year which he has overcome.

I am sure you all will join me in congratulating the award winners. The committee would also like to thank all those section members that have organized and lead runs/events and those that have supported the Essex section throughout the sections 50th anniversary year.
All these awards will be presented at the AGM in January 2020
I would like to wish you all and your families a Merry Christmas also a speedy recovery to all of our members that have been experiencing health issues throughout the year
